Whale Extends Watermaster Range With The Launch Of Their Lightest On-Board Freshwater Pressure Pump Ever!

Whale extends Watermaster range with the launch of their Lightest on-board freshwater pressure pump ever!

Pump design based on more than 50 years of RV pump design experience

Whale’s design team has extensive pump technology and manufacturing experience combined with sound knowledge
of caravan and motorhome systems. Whale’s first electric caravan water pump was launched in 1964. Applying this
expertise, Whale’s engineers have developed a pump that provides a smooth constant flow rate of 8 ltrs /minute. The
vertical mounting position and adjustable feet make it easy to install or retrofit even in small spaces, and the
lightweight design allows vehicle manufacturers to reduce their overall build weight for better tow-ability. The pump is
designed to run dry without damage and boasts a fully sealed motor housing for protection.

The On-board Freshwater Pressure pump (P2V)
Delivers smooth constant water flow and runs dry without damage

Sarah Baird, RV Commercial Manager, commented:
“This lightweight compact Watermaster® On-Board freshwater pump, is the latest
new product from Whale. Over the years, Whale has built a strong reputation for
their Watermaster® water pumps, so it is great to further extend the range. In
addition to our exterior pumps and sockets, Watermaster® IC Pump Controller
(launched in February), intelligently controls the submersible pump so you never
have to adjust your pressure switch ever again and detects when the water has run
out and turns the pump off. Now, launching this Whale Watermaster® On-Board
further enhances the product range we offer. This on board freshwater pump is selfpriming
and delivers smooth constant flow. The unit is 20% lighter than whale’s
previous on- board pump.’

Design Engineering Manager, Richard Bovill explains more:
“Our design team has applied their experience of positive displacement pump technology,
and spent several years developing Watermaster®. We used our state of the art in house
rapid prototyping machinery to perfect the pump housing design. The sleek design motor
housing is fully sealed and protected. The pump’s switch is also entirely enclosed for long
term reliability and the high spec motor runs dry without damage. At the same time, our
engineers have delivered a 20% weight saving compared to Whale’s previous equivalent

model. ”

The new pump will be availble in retail stores in January. For more information, please contact Whale Support: tel: 02891270511
